Like everything in life it is all about balance. A balanced mind is a healthy mind a balanced body is a healthy body, and of course it is exactly the same with our enjoyment of alcohol.
Unfortunately, some of us often drink too much too often. John uses hypnosis to help people cut down or stop drinking alcohol around Newcastle.
In Australia, over 3,000 people die each year as a result of excessive alcohol consumption and around 81,000 are hospitalised. To put this into perspective this number of deaths is more than double our total annual road fatalities.
Alcohol is also statistically found to be involved in around one-third of all those road deaths. The cost to the Australian community of alcohol-related social problems was estimated to be $15.3 billion in 2004/05.
For the first half of the 1900s, drunkenness offences comprised more than half of the charges presented at Australian Magistrates’ Courts.
Drinking is so ingrained into our culture that it can take a lot for someone to even acknowledge that alcohol has become a problem. If you need a hand to either back off with alcohol or you don’t have that option and you need to totally abstain, hypnotherapy combined with the right mindset and strategies can make all the difference.
The recommended guidelines from the National Health and Medical Research Council:
I just wanted to send a big thank you to you for changing my life. You have enabled me to stop drinking and as time goes by it gets easier and easier. I went to my first Christmas party last night and was thrilled that, even with everyone around me drinking champagne, I had no desire to do so myself.
I am now able to live a healthy life without guilt thanks to you. It’s only been a month so far and I intend to wait about another 3 and then contact you again to perhaps see if I’m able to have just one or two on special occasions, whether through hypnotherapy, or just your advice on whether to try it or not, if indeed I have a desire to do so. Thanks from the bottom of my heart John. You achieved what I thought, was the impossible.
This is Pete. You will no doubt recall I came to see you about 3 months ago. The first session didn’t include hypnosis as we both agreed I was not in the right head space. I came back the following week for the Hypnosis, and I can now tell you I have been 100% alcohol free since the day before I came to see you last. John simply put you have not just changed my life you have saved my life, I cannot thank you enough.
I have recently met this wonderful woman who is also a recovering alcoholic I now definitely understand this addiction a lot more, the thought of going back to those old ways is now unimaginable. I feel so much better in every way. I can tell you also that I found the transition mostly fairly easy, I did have a couple moments there, but overcome them by taking my dogs for a walk, I found that a great distraction. Thanks Again Mate.

Often freedom can only exist within clearly defined boundaries. The clearer those boundaries are the more we can enjoy the freedom that exists within those boundaries.
Sometimes to get things back in balance we often have to push the pendulum back the other way to get it back into the centre.
The essence of the 3 week program is about changing those habits…
As you are well aware repetition is the key element to create any habit. To put this into perspective the average person operates about 80% of the day from their subconscious mind, this is that automatic or habitual part of us. That is why many of will struggle with addictions.
The good news is hypnosis is one of a few ways we can change those habits. For that reason hypnosis is part of all 3 sessions. The hypnosis component of all 3 sessions is around 40 minutes. The rest of the sessions are about the mind set and strategies to make these new habits well entrenched.
“If we are what we repeatedly do excellence is not an act but a habit.” — Aristotle
