Hi there, my name is John McColl.
My formal studies in the human sciences over many years, is some what of a contrast to my former background in marine engineering.
Being able to design and build almost anything is great, but does not compare to being able to make a positive and long lasting contribution to someone’s life.
As a Counsellor and Life Coach I see my role as a catalyst to explore solutions and to create possibilities, in a relaxed and supportive environment. My therapeutic approach very much depends on my client’s needs and issues and generally includes both short and long term strategies.
Whatever solution focused modalities I use, it is always within the context of a holistic perspective. Where the whole of the person, is greater than the sum of their parts, this integrative approach is a central theme to my healing philosophy.
Over the years, I have acquired a diverse range of skills and much life experience. This has been a solid foundation in my counselling work, and is a significant element to the 12 Psychology / Hypnosis based CD’s I have recently produced.
I work full time from my LakeMacquarie practice (Newcastle NSW) as a Psychotherapist, Life Coach, Hypnotherapist, NLP Practitioner and Holistic Counselor and I have helped many clients:
